People all over the world basically fall into one of two categories:
*Dynamic and prosperous
*Peaceful and mostly poor
The first category is always active and their entire life is directed at accumulating wealth. Their desires are insatiable. The more they have, the more they want. They never reach a point and ask themselves the question, 'when is enough, enough?'. Their life is one continuous roller coaster. Ofter their desires are not met, leading to mental agitation. They suffer from stress and strain and do not have 'peace of mind.' Many people in the Western countries fall into this category.
Those falling in the second category are generally inactive and quite content with their meagre possessions. Their desires are minimal and they have 'peace of mind.' Many people in the villages of India and Bangladesh, for instance, fall into this category.
The key question that needs to be posed is: "Is it possible to be dynamic and to have 'peace of mind' simultaneously?" The answer is a categorical yes! I will explore this in my next article.
Till next time
